Do I need a new website?

No. It works with however enquiries reach you now, whether that’s a contact form, an email address or a site like Checkatrade. If you want a new website, I build those too (there are live examples on the Websites page), but you don’t need one to start.

Who writes the messages?

You give me a few lines written the way you’d normally reply to a customer, and the messages are worded to match. You see them all before anything goes live, and you can change them in your dashboard whenever you like.

Why not just do it myself?

You could, and if you always replied within minutes and chased every quote, you wouldn't need this. Most people mean to, and then they're busy with a customer. Lumn does it every time, and the monthly email shows what came back because of it.

How does quote chasing work?

Accepted Answer

When you email a quote, add your Lumn quotes address in Bcc. If the customer doesn't reply, they get a short, polite follow-up on day 2, 5 and 10, in your style, and it stops as soon as they answer. It never mentions or changes the price.

Can it bring back past customers?

Yes. Send me a list of people you've done work for (or let it build up from jobs you mark won), and when their regular service is due again they get a short reminder from you, with one follow-up a week later. It's the cheapest work there is, and anyone can opt out in one click.

What if it doesn’t work for me?

If it hasn’t helped you win at least one extra job in your first 60 days, meaning a booking from someone who only came back after a follow-up or quote chase, I’ll refund your setup fee. Just mark jobs won as they happen so it can be counted.

Will it annoy people?

Each person gets four messages at most, spread over a week. As soon as they reply, book or click the opt-out link, the rest are cancelled, and nothing is sent after day 7.

What about people who only leave a phone number?

They’re common, especially from directories. On the standard plan you get the reply written for you in your style, ready to send from your own phone in one tap, with a nudge when each follow-up is due. On Plus (£79 a month) they’re texted automatically from your own business number, follow-ups included, so nobody slips through just because they didn’t leave an email.

Can customers text me?

On Plus, yes. You get a UK mobile number just for your business: put it on your website, van and Google profile. Anyone who texts it gets a reply within a minute, in your words, and their messages come straight to you. Your personal number stays private.

Where do the enquiries go?

Accepted Answer

Into your dashboard. You also get an email as each one comes in, with links to mark it replied or booked. Spam and sales pitches are filtered out first.

How much is it, and how long does setup take?

Plus, the whole system with texts, missed calls and your monthly Google scorecard, is £79 a month. Just the follow-up is £49. Either has a £249 setup fee. There’s no contract and you can cancel any month. Setup usually takes a few days, most of it getting the wording right. No VAT is added to these prices.
